Join a creative hands-on workshop inspired by our photographic collection!

Do you LOVE London? Or does it drive you mad? This Valentine's Day, come along to The London Archives for a special workshop with artist/illustrator Agustin Coll. Take it out on those overfamiliar landmarks and then give them a new life – literally – through the power of collage illustration.

Agustin’s art infuses architecture with a playful anthropomorphic quality that expresses his relationship with the built environment and those who inhabit it. Workshop participants will be encouraged to look at familiar London landmarks under a new light with the aim of creating their own character design illustration from a curated selection of historic photographs sourced from The London Archives collection. The workshop will focus on exploring basic collage techniques with the idea of creating a piece of original artwork that attendees can take home.
