Bishopsgate to Blackfriars: Shakespeare's Life in London

In March 1613, playwright William Shakespeare bought a house in Blackfriars, in the City of London. The deed for this transaction is one of only six documents in the world that contains Shakespeare's signature. It has been preserved at The London Archives and will be on display this summer.
