Archive box making service

Our enclosures protect against damage caused by handling, pollution, fire, flood, and light. Our made-to-measure, computer-generated boxes are crafted by conservation professionals, in house, using quality box board supplied by Conservation by Design. We strive to create products that are durable, long lasting, strong, and adhere to archival quality standards.

The solid centre board we use offers a controlled ‘microenvironment’ for your items and is acid - and lignin - free. This creates a slightly alkaline environment inside your box, counteracting any acidity in your collections, to provide the greatest protection and longevity to your items. The exterior grey colour will not bleed or fade and is resistant to abrasion.
